At SERENE SNAANA, these questions guide how we make our products. The colour, aroma and texture come from the ingredients themselves. Nothing is added merely to make a product look brighter, smell stronger or feel a certain way.
Our Approach to Skincare
We create skincare with edible-grade natural ingredients and traditional Ayurvedic formulations. Every ingredient has a purpose in caring for your skin.
Our formulations contain no synthetic additives, preservatives, artificial fragrances, petroleum derivatives or added colours. We keep processing minimal to preserve the ingredients’ natural nutrients.
For us, this commitment begins with how an ingredient is produced and continues through to the finished formulation.
Made by Us, From Ingredients to Blends
Our manufacturing unit is in Dehradun, in the Himalayan foothills, close to farms growing herbs, nuts and seeds, with access to clean air and water. We maintain close associations with farmers across different regions of India.
At our unit, we cold press nuts and seeds into oils, steam distil botanicals into essential oils and herb waters, and hand mill herbs into powders. We then use these minimally processed ingredients to create our blends for skincare, health and wellness.
Making these ingredients ourselves is central to how we work.
Why Our Products Look, Feel and Smell the Way They Do
Understanding the ingredients helps you understand the product.
Our creams are concentrated blends of oils and butters, without added water or emulsifiers. Their consistency may change in warm weather—a characteristic of the ingredients used.
Our mists and toners are botanical waters steam distilled from leaves, flowers or roots. Their aroma comes from the botanical itself, without added perfume.
Our cleansing powders combine nuts, seeds and herbs. Our soaps are made using plant oils, butters and essential oils, without artificial colour or fragrance.
Our cold-pressed oils are produced without additional heat, while our after-shower oils provide moisturising care without added water.
The ingredients determine the character of each formulation, including its colour, aroma and texture.

Our Clarity and Velvet collections make it easy to choose cleansing, moisturising and polishing rituals for both face and body, using edible-grade natural ingredients without added synthetics.
The Clarity Collection, for oily to normal skin, offers lightweight care without a greasy feel, for skin prone to excess shine, blackheads, whiteheads and recurring pimples.
The Velvet Collection, for dry to normal skin, offers nourishing care for dryness, tightness, rough patches and flaking, helping skin feel soft, supple and comfortable.
Transparency, From Ingredients to Packaging
We disclose complete ingredient lists in clear, understandable language. You should be able to see what goes into a formulation and understand what you are choosing to apply.
We encourage you to look beyond “key ingredients” and words such as “natural”, “organic” or “handmade”. Read the full composition and ask what contributes to the product’s colour, fragrance and texture.
Our commitment extends to sustainable glass packaging and honest communication. We would rather forgo a sale than mislead someone about what our products contain.

How It Began
The journey began in 2015, when founder Alkaa Punia started making natural formulations for her daughter’s sensitive skin. The improvement in her daughter’s skin inspired SERENE SNAANA and the approach that continues to guide us today.
